Introducing the Ford C-Max
The Ford C-Max is one of the most popular MPV’s on the market today. With its supreme practicality, frugality and driveability, it’s the perfect blend for people wanting something like a Ford Focus with more space for the family.
The C-Max has a range of engines to choose from, including the award-winning EcoBoost. If fuel economy is of paramount importance to you, look no further than the 1.5 TDCi engines, which will return as much as 74.3mpg, perfect for longer journeys and commutes.
Producing only 99g/km of CO2, the 1.5TDCi ECOnetic has a BIK rating of just 21%, making it ideal for those wanting a company car with a little more room.
Every C-Max will cost £140 a year to tax and the insurance groups range from 11 to 14 for petrol variants, 16 for the 1.5l diesel to a maximum of group 20 for the 2.0l diesel variant.
Based on the perennially popular Ford Focus, the C-Max benefits from responsive steering with very little body lean in the corners, perhaps surprising from an MPV. The EcoBoost engines are, as you would expect, both fun to drive and respond well to acceleration. The more powerful diesel engines offer faster 0-60 times while still delivering excellent mpg.
As you would expect from Ford, the interior of the C-Max is both well-made and well-appointed. The three specifications offer different levels of equipment, but even the entry-level Zetec offers a 4.2” display with Ford’s SYNC system, Bluetooth connectivity, air-con, DAB radio and a heated windscreen.
Upgrade to the Titanium trim and, among others, you’ll enjoy dual-zone air-conditioning, cruise control and rain-sensing wipers. The top-spec Titanium X trim adds a panoramic sunroof, bi-xenon headlights, leather upholstery and heated front seats.
On the inside, both legroom and headroom are good and there are plenty of storage areas. The C-Max’s boot holds 432 litres with the rear seats up, expanding to 1,684 litres with the seats down, giving you more than enough space for shopping trips and weekends away with your family.
When it comes to safety, the current C-Max has not yet been tested by NCAP. However the previous version scored a maximum 5 stars and it would be difficult to see a scenario where the current version scored anything other than a maximum rating.More info > Interested in leasing this vehicle?
