MG GS Lease Deals 2019
Why lease an MG GS in 2019?
When you decide that an MG GS lease deal is right for you, you’ll end up behind the wheel of an excellent SUV that is enjoyable to drive, full of excellent equipment as standard and is superb value for money.
Slightly larger than the Renault Kadjar and a rival for the Mazda CX-5, the MG GS is equally at home on winding country roads as it is on the motorway, the GS is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, although a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic is available as an option with the Exclusive trim.
The GS is only available with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, although that isn’t a bad thing as it produces 164bhp and accelerates to 60mph in just over 9 seconds. The engine is economical too, returning up to 46.3mpg with CO2 emissions of 139g/km.
For those of you looking at a business lease for the GS, the first-year BIK tax rate for the manual version is 28% and 29% for the automatic.
Available to lease in three trim levels, the MG GS is well-equipped as standard. The entry-level Explore comes with 17” alloys, cruise control, LED daytime running lights, automatic headlights, air conditioning and start-stop engine.
The mid-range Excite gets a DAB digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity, rear parking sensors, reversing camera and a leather steering wheel with audio controls.
Choose the range-topping Exclusive trim and you’ll get leather seats that are heated in the front, upgraded 18” alloys, xenon headlights, rain-sensing automatic windscreen wipers, IGO satellite navigation system and the option of an automatic gearbox.
There’s lots of space inside the GS with plenty of headroom and legroom in the front and rear. The sense of space is accentuated further by the ride height. Four adults will travel comfortably and there is plenty of storage around the cabin. There are 2 rear ISOFIX points.
Boot space is 438 litres with the rear seats up and 1,336 with the rear seats down. It’s worth noting that the rear seat in the GS fold completely flat, which is a very handy feature if you’re carrying a large or awkward load.
For those of you looking to use the GS to tow, you’ll be pleased to know that the GS has an impressive towing capacity of 1,750kg.
The MG GS is yet to be tested by Euro NCAP for safety, but it should be noted that every trim is well-equipped with safety features such as ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, anti-rolling program, tyre pressure monitors and lots of airbags.
