Renault Captur Lease Deals 2020
Why lease a Renault Captur in 2020?
The Renault Captur combines the fun and looks of an SUV with the practicality and frugal engines found in a supermini. The Captur is based on the ever-popular Clio and has quickly become the best-selling Renault model in the UK.
If you’re not sure if a conventional hatchback or trendy SUV is right for your needs, the Renault Captur helpfully sits right in the middle, offering practicality and plenty of interior space in a compact design. It’s comfortable, affordable and cheap to run. What more would you want from a compact SUV?
The Captur is available with either a 0.9-litre turbocharged petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol version is perfect for nipping around town and offers a smooth ride. It will return up to 52.3mpg on the combined cycle, producing 139g/km of CO2, which equates to a 28% BIK tax rate in the first year for company car drivers.
Choose the diesel engine if you tend to drive a little further every year, especially if you cover a lot of motorway miles, as it offers a slightly better performance at higher speeds. It’s also available with an automatic gearbox, unlike the petrol engine which is only available with a manual. The diesel engine will return up to 67.3mpg, producing 138g/km of CO2, resulting in a first year BIK tax rate of 32%.
The Captur comes in four trim levels, each offering different specifications. The entry-level Play offers 16” alloy wheels, automatic lights & wipers, air conditioning, keyless entry & engine start and contrasting roof & door mirror colours.
Go for the Iconic trim and you’ll get upgraded 17” alloys, extra-tinted windows & tailgate, automatic climate control and rear parking sensors. The S Edition trim comes with Alcantara upholstery with red stitching, full LED front headlights, LED front fog lights with cornering function, 7” touchscreen infotainment unit with navigation & smartphone replication, Red Interior touch pack with design elements, automatic climate control and rear parking sensors.
Finally, the range-topping GT Line trim offers 17” Emotion alloy wheels, part-leather upholstery, silver skid plates, heated front seats, 7” touchscreen R-Link with navigation, front, side & rear parking sensors with reverse parking camera, hands-free parking and blind spot warning.
Interior space in the Captur is excellent, with plenty of legroom in the rear. The rear seats can be moved to allow more legroom or boot space, depending on your needs. Parking is made easier by the short bonnet and upright tailgate – choosing parking sensors make things even more of a doddle.
With the rear seats pushed back, boot space is a solid 377 litres, increasing to 455 litres if you move the seats forwards. Fold the rear seats down and this expands to 1,235 litres.
Euro NCAP tested the Renault Captur for safety in 2013 and awarded it the maximum 5 stars, marking it highly for both adult occupant protection and child occupant protection, as well as for its safety assistance features.
