Renault Megane Lease Deals 2020
Why lease a Renault Megane in 2020?
If you’re looking for a hatchback with a little Gallic flair and a touch of joie de vivre, look no further than the excellent Renault Megane. Updated in 2018, the Megane looks great, offers a comfortable & responsive drive, handles well in the corners and is well equipped, even at entry-level.
The Megane is available with either a 1.2-litre petrol engine or 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine returns up to 45.6mpg on the combined cycle whilst producing as little as 125 g/km of CO2 emissions. Opt for the diesel engine and you can achieve 62.8mpg with CO2 emissions of just 101 g/km.
Those figures make the Megane a viable choice as a company car as the first year’s BIK tax rate is just 25% if you choose to lease one with a diesel engine.
There are three different trim levels to choose from when you lease the Megane. Firstly the entry-level Play comes with a 7” touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, hands-free keycard, cruise control and automatic dual zone climate control.
Opting for the Iconic trim gives you 17” diamond-cut alloys, rear parking sensors, part-leather upholstery and the Visio system with lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and automatic high/low beam selection.
Finally the GT Line version adds 18” diamond-cut alloys, a rear body-coloured GT bumper with silver diffuser, a front body-coloured GT bumper, sports seats and other styling cues.
In terms of space and practicality, the Megane has more than enough leg and headroom in the front for taller drivers and the rear offers a comfortable ride for two adults or three children. There are plenty of storage solutions around the cabin including good sized door bins in the front and rear and cup holders for the rear passengers.
At 384-litres, there’s plenty of room in the boot of the Megane for lots of shopping or pushchairs. Fold the rear seat down and this expands to 1,247-litres, giving the Megane a larger boot than that in the VW Golf and Vauxhall Astra.
The Megane was tested by Euro NCAP for safety and was awarded the maximum 5 stars. It performed particularly well for adult and child occupant protection, scoring 88% and 87% respectively.
