Cupra Ateca Lease Deals 2019
Why lease a Cupra Ateca in 2019?
Taking the superb SEAT Ateca as a base to work from, Cupra were always going to produce a performance SUV that retained its practicality whilst adding sharp handling and stronger engines.
Maintaining the high quality and all-round performance of the standard Ateca, the Cupra Ateca takes everything to the next level, giving an SUV with power to match its premium feel. You will struggle to find anything that matches it at its price range.
The engine in the Cupra Ateca is the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine found in the VW Golf R so expect it to pack a punch. Producing 300bhp, the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox will ease the car to 60mph in around 5 seconds and on to a top speed of 152mph. The car’s four-wheel-drive system ensures even power distribution.
Given its power, don’t be expecting dazzling economy from the Cupra Ateca. Having said that, for a performance SUV, 38mpg is pretty impressive. CO2 emissions are unsurprisingly elevated at 168g/km.
Perhaps not the first car that will come to mind for fleet managers, if you want to lease the Cupra Ateca through your business you should expect a first-year BIK rate of 37%.
When you choose to lease the Cupra Ateca, you’ll be able to choose between the standard version, Design pack, Comfort & Sound pack and the Comfort, Sound & Design pack.
The standard Cupra Ateca is extremely well equipped with 19” diamond cut alloy wheels, 8” infotainment unit with satellite navigation & smartphone integration, digital cockpit, Park Assist, keyless entry & start, cruise control, automatic headlights, rain-sensitive wipers, climate control, rear view camers and multiple safety features.
The Design pack adds 19” machined copper alloys, Cupra Brembo brakes and exclusive interior styling, in addition to the standard equipment.
Choose the Comfort & Sound pack and you’ll get a BeatsAudio sound system, heated front seats, an electric tailgate and multiple safety features including Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Assist, adaptive cruise control and high beam assist.
The Cupra Ateca is, as you would expect, very similar to the SEAT version it’s based on so expect plenty of room inside for five people. It’s slightly smaller inside than the Renault Kadjar, but a performance version of that car is not available.
Having said that, even the tallest passengers should feel comfortable and not cramped when travelling in the back.
As a large car, the driving position is excellent with very good visibility in all directions. The layout of the dashboard is clear and instrumentation is easy to understand.
At 485 litres, boot space is slightly less than in the standard SEAT Ateca due to the four-wheel drive system making the boot floor a little higher. That’s still more than on offer in the Kia Sportage.
The Cupra version of the Ateca is yet to be tested by NCAP, but the standard SEAT Ateca was tested in 2016 and was awarded the maximum 5 stars, scoring an impressive 93% and 84% for adult and child occupant protection respectively.
